On Wednesday, October 17, two NCC employees attended Chiefs vs. Chefs, a live cooking challenge presented by the Arlington Food Assistance Center (AFAC).  NCC was proud to be a sponsor for the event as part of our loyal support for this worthy organization, and proceeds from the event went to AFAC. On Sunday, November 6, NCC participated in Hearing Loss Association of America’s (HLAA) Washington, D.C. Walk4Hearing for the fourth consecutive year.  We are proud to be a three-year sponsor of the event, which raises awareness and works to eliminate the stigma related to hearing loss.  Team NCC, which was comprised of employees, family members (both human and canine), and friends raised over  $3,000 in donations for HLAA, with the money going to programs and services benefiting individuals ... read more »

While the Olympics took place in London, the Tour de France transpired over the French Alps, and the Major League Baseball season worked its way through summer here in the U.S., NCC took on an athletic endeavor of its own.  NCC’s Employee Engagement and Community Outreach (EECO) team organized the Get Fit Challenge, a company-wide initiative that ran from April through Labor Day.  Our goal was for NCC employees to collectively jog, walk, bike, or swim 5,000 miles. On Sunday, September 30, as part of our ongoing support of Hero Dogs, Inc., NCC joined one of the organization’s three public outreach events for the day, at a Bark! Pawsitive Pet Food in Rockville, Maryland. NCC Vice President of Operations Lorene Eberhardt and her husband staffed the Hero Dogs information table, greeting customers and sharing Hero Dogs’ mission to raise, train, and place service dogs with injured and/or disabled military veterans.  The volunteers also distributed literature and ... read more »

This summer, the NCC Book Club was created, with participation from employees spanning all of our divisions of service.  It’s fitting for a company established in 2002 as a real-time captioning service provider, with expanded capabilities to include transcription and video production.  As a result, our employees don’t view their tasks as merely part of a day’s work; we appreciate the opportunity to learn about subjects including history, politics, and the arts while transcribing, editing, and captioning interviews, ... read more »

On Sunday, November 4, NCC will proudly participate in the Hearing Loss Association of America’s Walk4Hearing in Washington, DC.  Since 2009, our employees, their families, and friends have taken part in the event.  NCC is honored to be a three-year sponsor of the DC Walk4Hearing, which is one of more than 20 taking place nationwide.
