Despite the unusual snow storm that fell over Washington, D.C. in late October, the weather was ideal for Team NCC and the other 43 Walk4Hearing teams who gathered at the beautiful Tidal Basin Park for a 5K walk to raise awareness and help eradicate the stigma associated with hearing loss. Fundraising efforts by NCC employees resulted in over $2,500 donated toward national and local programs that include advocacy efforts, education, and outreach to veterans. On the weekend of October 22, two NCC associates attended the 2011 Greater Washington Shorthand Reporters Association (GWSRA) Annual Conference held at the Alexandria-Old Town Area Hampton Inn and Suites.
